Notice the 7 month gap in your "year" of experience, can you account for that to a potential new employer? Go foodservice unless you're some puss that's afraid to work. Or stay put for an actual year

If you have no incidents on your record you'll likely have little trouble landing a local P&D job in your area.
Hours may not be great at first, but they will improve, and you'll be home each day and off in weekends getting paid by the hour.
If you have skills with that truck.. you're in demand.
If you can't back it up worth a hoot lime a lot of them cant.. well.. you're SOL.
Local jobs are all about backing up and bumping docks. -

Job hopping can hurt your chances of getting a job with certain companies, but not most. Working for some places for horrible pay and very long hours amounts to modern day slavery, and sticking it out and staying because it looks better on a resume is just stupid IMHO. That's why this industry averages a 100% turnover each year and has for many years. There isn't a driver shortage, just a shortage of decent places to work. The places that pay well and treat their employees right have very low turnover and don't have to advertise when they need a new driver. There is usually a waiting list.

I pretty much lean on you going for year two. Then three etc.
Job hopping is bad with some companies. If you must change jobs make sure the new one you are going into improves something such as better pay and so on.Oldironfan Thanks this. -
