For Florida 950 a week is good.
Sad to say it but they don't have many options.
Florida has always been at the bottom of the
    Pay scale for truckers.

When Disney world is your #1 employer in the
Whole state You ain't got much to hang your hat on.

CT is a comcar company. I used to drive for another of their companies. You won't get rich working for them. However you will work. I highly recommend them if you are based in Florida.

. For a rookie it’s good money, especially to get you a solid start on your carrer.

That just sucks, cost of living is not that cheap in Florida.

    this here is soild info.

I would have gone the tanker route but I need hazmat and twic card. Don’t have the money for either. Flat bed was the next one that would bring in a bit more money. I’m moving to TX in a couple of years and hopefully get into the Oil Fields.

Hazmat endorsement is cheap, most companies reimburse for TWIC..... Don't count on Oil Fields in a few years.....

From what I have seen, hazmat tanker jobs dont pay much more. I have all the endorsements and a TWIC card, but I don't see the point in hauling fuel with all it's associated risks and responsibilities for the same money as dry van or reefer.

If there was the chance of a sweet paying tanker job with the gained fuel hauling experience that would be a different, but I haven't seen that possibility yet.

Oh ok. Well I know you are about to start with CT on 4th so good luck with them. I know Fastenal is looking to grow in Orlando as wel. You can check them out as well. Trust me I know us Floridians have our options limited to choices. That gross number just doesn’t sit well with me. I’d rather go bust my tail off with McLane or US foods or Sygma or some food delivery service company and be home every night and make better money than take that gross. That’s just my opinion. I hope it all works out well for you. I’m sure you have done your research and made the decision that is best for you and your family. Safe travels.

Not trying to disagree with you about the food service industry, but I did it for a while and it's hard work for the money you make. I worked for Martin brower and was nothing like I thought it would be. You get a 10 hour break and log back in for your next route
