Celadon training

Yeah. They hadn’t yet leased it to 160 Driving Academy at the time I posted. It was closed down at the time according to one of the road testers (can’t recall his name.)

 

Well; I’ve been with Celadon for many years, now.. they’ve treated me well and I’ve made steadily increased $$$ since I started: currently I’m on a dedicated account. Why did I choose a larger company and remain with them year after year? They treat me well and I need the insurances they offer that most smaller companies don’t have: short term and long term disability; critical care; term life, drivers legal, and I get a paid weeks vacation every 30,000 miles with them.. nobody else has that.. that I know of....

 

Thanks for the reply. Recruiter said i can do SE regional since i live in NC after running with trainer 2 weeks up in Indy. then from Indy - Texas the final 2 weeks. My concern is with covering only about 5 state radious is the weekly income even going to be decent?

 

I'm not sure how this part of your post was relevant. It just seems like a gratuitous plug for big companies and a misinformed jab at smaller companies. Are you a recruiter for celadon? I've worked for two companies, both small compared to celadon and both offer every type of insurance you mentioned, equal or better vacation time, and both pay way better than celadon.

 

It’s relevent to those who look to it as relevant. A poster asked how the gentleman was doing with Celadon and I posted after he did that I too was doing well with them. I’ve been asked many times if I’m a recruiter over the years and my answer is this: No I am not! I’ve been on this site since 2007 and if I happen to share my positive experience with my company you grouches always have to come up with that crap! No: I am a longtime driver; currently doing a dedicated account: making good money and enjoying what I am doing... getting ready to take one of my 4 yearly weeks of vacation Celadon awards me in 9 days for my $1000 vacation pay and a week off with that! So; any other complaints about what I post?

 

No, the op asked about the training at celadon. Nobody asked why you prefer large companies over small ones. That was irrelevant to the thread, and incorrect.
A cheap shot at smaller companies.

If you were at the small company I work for you'd have 5 weeks vacation now (with 10 years in) paid at 48 x $27.50 per week off. Oh, and forgot to mention 7% company match 401k, fully vested from day one.

Give me a well run small company over your mega carrier any day.

Okay; since you started it: most; not all; but most smaller companies don’t offer the benefits that large companies do: short term, long term disability, critical care, health and dental, term life, while life, vacation pay every 30,000 miles in my companies package.. drivers legal....I have seen VERY FEW out here that come anywhere close....
But, it doesn’t really matter: it’s all up to whatever we need.. I suppose and your need to bully people on this forum instead of being a positive influence on here is obvious!

 

Your choice: my choice: Jon is doing really well keeping us out of bankruptcy; isn’t he? You guys were screaming:: leave now! Another Arrow! Run.... etc etc... over a year ago and I’ve made a Great yearly paycheck this year: still... so, when, and if they do: I will be prepared and accepting that it happens...

 

I don’t need their 401k... I have my own investments: see how that works? Each individual has his or hers own perspective of their life and their working choices.. good thing too; since I come on here to help people and don’t berate or bully them..
