Help! Need Insight

    Thanks everyone for your input.

    I looked up PowerSpec on the Cummins sight and found that I need to purchase a $640 piece of hardware just to connect to my computer. I hoped to be able to use a USB cable;-( No, that would be to easy.

    I checked Craiglist and eBay. Niether of them have the Inline 4 or Inline 5 available. They do have Insite on eBay though. Still would need one of the Inline products though.

    I'm going to have to bite the bullet and spend the money.

    I believe that an Inline 1 will work. I don't think that you need the latest or greatest to connect to some of this stuff.

    Google autotap. buy that converter ..$199

    buy also autotap D9D15M cable ..$65

    buy any RS-232 TO USB adapter....$15 in stores...

    all togeter less then $300..:biggrin_25519:

    you can use it for detroit and for cummins... and its better set than inline's...

    Running an 04 pete with a cat C15 in it and would like to know if anyone can direct me to some stuff to do the same on this truck.
