I saw the ugliest truck I’ve ever saw yesterday in Alabama. It was perhaps a 1990 international cabover with an ugly primer grey paint and zero effort into fixing it up. And it was apparent it lived a hard life in it’s previous life.
How one can drive something like that and still retain a degree of self respect is beyond my ability to comprehend.
Pretty Cool!

I don't know why,but I have seen a boatload of cabovers recently. I could see it if you're home everyday, but not to live in.
TheyCallMeDave Thanks this. -
You can tell all the drivers who drove them a few decades ago, we all have fused backs and limp.

Beautiful truck. I'd drive it.

No amount of cash. Would ever find me back in a Skillet Face. Started out in one yearssss ago. (1968 White/Freightliner) Never again.
I was 6ft 3" tall when I started out in one. 3 years later 6ft 1" and a back that still kills me today. And a sore head, from head hitting the roof all the time. Plus frozen legs and feet. While the rest of me would be warm.x1Heavy and TheyCallMeDave Thank this. -
That's a old Areodyne. It would be quite a nice drive.TheyCallMeDave Thanks this.

Something you don’t see every day.....
..For better or for worse -
Think that company has a bunch of them. Seen then at a truck show last year. Bunch of cabovers in a row all different brands.
TheyCallMeDave and SAR Thank this. -
The first truck I ever learned to drive was a cab-over that my grandpa owned. He was a o/o and I would go with him on grain runs. I was just a kid but it was fun and probably part of the reason I like them. I think they're cool to look at. I'd take a pre emissions 379 over a cab over any day of the week though. I also run intrastate in Tx, and I'm usually home most days so "living" in one isn't an issue if I were to be assigned one tomorrow, and yes, I would take that rig over a new piece of electronic junk with the exception of a nice 389. If I was true OTR, or lived in the truck several days a week, then I'd pass on such a truck.
Refer to post above.
It's really not that serious folks. Just a pick I snapped of a truck I personally like. Nothing more, nothing less.x1Heavy Thanks this. -
That's an old Caretta coast to coast truck...repainted
