You would be correct.

They are a good fit for me. I live in Southwest Missouri, near Joplin, and am home every weekend. Trucks are pretty basic, but well maintained. We have a combination of belly dump, rear dump, and multi compartment trailers. We still use jackshafts for the pumps, but the trailers are being fitted for hydraulics, hopefully soon. The staff is nice, and pay is good, and you can go home on the weekends.

I live in SW Missouri as well. Currently running flatbed. How much time would you say you average on the weekends? Just your 34 or a little more? Are you ever running by the house mid week and get a weekday home? It's not often but I sometimes do. I have been looking into this company and hourly sounds better to me but I don't know much about running hourly OTR.

OP back here.
It's been a year, but better late than never I guess. Must have got sidetracked.
Ended up not pursuing this place.
Called the recruiter or whoever he was.
He asked why I wanted to switch to tanker. I think I said something to the effect that I got my hazmat endorsement with the intention of eventually pulling tanks.
That I would switch to tanks from flatbed seemed lost on him.
I'm not sure what the answer was he was looking for, but the conversation felt awkward after that and I couldn't get off the phone fast enough.
Are tanker yankers part of a secret society? Are you just born into It?
That's what it made me feel like.
Nice enough guy, otherwise.
I think I live slightly outside their hiring area anyway.
Since then, I've noticed their trucks from time to time, and wasn't that impressed. Not bad, just some older equipment. -
@toymaker yes we are a secret society and yes we're born into it. Much like the illuminati.

They're an average company. They wash out in Channahon and there's signs on the trailers saying something like the average driver makes $65,000. I'll double check when I'm at the tank wash tomorrow.homeskillet Thanks this. -
If you're in Joplin Missouri that's house and Harley money.
-
@toymaker since you asked to join and didn't. You have to die.(probably of natural causes). It's out in the open, but oddly still secret.
Every one says superior is the way to go. Im with a different company and know in Houston we are changing dispatchers and part of me wants to move to Louisiana and the other part of me wants to go back home to Chicago land. Not the northwest suburbs where I grew up but near Joliet.ChicagoJohn Thanks this. -

If our in our line of work. Who else, but Joliet, can represent? I could move near coal city.
