I hear ya. From what you're describing it sounds like you were going to be on their "regional" side. Where would you have been hauling out of?

I'll be taking off to orientation on Monday, and I'll be running by Wednesday. If all I do is what has been described to me, the gig isn't bad at all, all things considered. I've talked to plenty of carriers, and know plenty of drivers that paranoia when speaking to possible trucking jobs I come across, has become second nature, due to the sheer fact that the industry as a whole can be pretty shady.
I did ask quite a few questions through email and text that would make most recruiters or HR folks, pick up the phone and call to answer said questions, because they fear putting something in writing, that they know is bs. However that wasn't the case, so I'm optimistic. I even pointed out a couple of negative things I found online, and sure enough, he was upfront and willing to talk about said issues, followed by what they have done, or are doing to correct the couple of issues I brought up. I'll certainly report back after I run at least a week or so to let you know how it's going.
