"No Texting While Driving" Bill Proposed

I don't get it ... what's next, a "No picking your nose while driving" law? Or, perhaps a "No reaching for your dropped fries" law? How about, "No getting angrier than 4/10 with your passenger"?

Are the laws currently on the books insufficient to deal with careless and/or distracted driving? Or is just because it makes their life easier to appear to have really "done something", and all the legislators (of all stripes) can pat each other on the back and the ignorant masses can say, "Wow, they really care."
(unfortunately that was all kind of rhetorical because I already know the answer )

 

Just goes to show they don't have anything else better to do.

 

I'm surprised CA hasn't made it illegal to Shift gears while driving. Shifting is a distraction for some 4-wheelers ya know....
