2013 Maxxforce Low power

was going to say the same thing about using fuel lines only once. And blocking the actuator could of possibly damaged the turbo if it got spun at too high of a rpm. Take off the boot to insure the impeller doesn't have too much play and make sure the fins arent hitting

 

Need help. Shut down lights and buzzer come on then truck shuts down. All fluid levels are full. Wait about 5 mins and it cranks back and runs fine for awhile then does it again. Active codes are spn 520211 fmi 7 and spn 524285 fmi 14.

 

Those codes ae from the body controller, one is a bad heater actuator and the other is caused by a SART module not communicating, usually due a dead internal battery. Neither will cause your issues. Those aren't engine codes. Get your truck scanned properly to see what codes are getting logged.

 

Only code they found that would shut truck down was low coolant level. Could sensor possibly be bad? Truck just randomly shuts down, then just spins over and over. Few minutes later it will crank but lights and buzzer stay on till you shut truck down and restart it, then it may run a day or may run a week with no problem, then it starts shutting down again.

 

If the engine is shutting down due to low coolant or any other issue, it will log a code. If it is losing fuel pressure, it will log a code. Even shutting down from idle shut down will log a code. The only time it will shut down without logging a code is if the engine is losing electrical power. In that case, the other modules will log a code that they lost communication with the engine.

 

It's a maxforce engine.
You'll have these same problems
Over and over again.
They never go away.
You just get a couple weeks break
Every now and then.

I'm having flashbacks of those
Pieces of junk just reading this thread.
I've had all those problems and more
20/30 times in a year with those trucks.

Spend a week in the shop,
Couple thousand bucks,
Two weeks later it's doing the
Exact same thing.
Rinse and repeat.
