Just saw, actually was almost run over, by a Swifty missing several fairings in a filthy truck pulling a Wally distribution trailer.

    The assimilation has begun.

A goes back to the old saying... If it's not broke don't mess with it... That knucklehead they hired in Bentonville obviously has no real world experience or common sense...

I say it has more to do with a whiz kid, with an Ivy League sheepskin and $700K worth of student debt, that's probably related to someone in hiarchy.

Figured we can save X dollars and still get the job done.

And at the end of the day that's probably true.

Western Express has some decent trucks.

Highly doubt a contracted carrier is paying their employees as much as Walmart is paying their own private drivers

Well it's true. One of the mega's will move that stuff for 80 cents on the dollar. Maybe 70.

And they will miss some loads.

But with that much money saved in transportation cost, the writing is on the wall.

part of the problem with keeping drivers at a good paying gig is that with all the info available today about money smart people save and invest that money, theres no reason to be a walmart driver for 20 yrs anymore, theres no reason to work for anyone that long anymore unless you simply arent good with money.
