interrior cigarette lighters wont run when a load is applied

Poor connection, there are 2 ports up front on the 2013. Both cause the same issue?

Try wiggling the adapter to see if that cleans up the connection enough for it to work.

When a load is applied, the adapter is trying to draw more power than the connection can handle, which is why the adapter appears to go dead.

 

Corrosion or having been burnt.


I've done more than one thing to address, try the Scotch Brite, or a new pencil eraser first, the solvent and dielectrics, and if it's badly burnt up, replace the socket.

If you can see the difference from ones that work inside to ones that don't work, replacing those will usually work.
