$12/HR Local Hazmat Tanker

    Are you kidding me? They want to pay $12 an hour, no OT for 50-60 hours a week of local hazmat tanker. Don’t forget the $22.50 per load they give you (10-15 loads per week). Who in their right mind would take that risk and liability for $12 an hour and roughly $1k per week?

    When I asked about OT, she said I don’t know if you know anything about trucking, but there is no OT in trucking. I laughed and hung up.

    Ok, my rant is over.

    There's no OT for mileage drivers but hourly employees fall under the labor laws just like a McDonald's worker.

    What law is this.
    I know many local trucking jobs that only
    Pay straight time.
    No overtime.
    60 hours a week all straight time.

    Even some LTL jobs won't give you
    Overtime till 50 hours.
