I left home the other week at about 2am and during my pretrip I saw that I had a tag light, the 3 markers on my trailer out... like 4 minutes later I saw DPS had someone pulled over on 45s, so I get over.

He whips over off the shoulder leaving them there and without ever turning his lights off jumps behind me.

Inspected everything. Asked if I knew why he pulled me over. Told him that I had the marker lights and tag light out, assumed it was my pigtail that has a short in it and I had noted it in my inspection report and was on my way to Loves 10 miles away to get it fixed.

So the ####### writes me a warning. Also I was out of washer fluid. How petty! My truck and trailer had just been washed at Streakin Beacon the day before and I’d spent 3 hours polishing the rims and side box all the way around. Not a #### bug anywhere near my windshield.

I tried to talk my way into a ticket so I could get it knocked down or off completely but he insisted on just giving me a warning. Especially after I explained that a warning is worse than a ticket and please give me the ticket.

All that time polishing, and no time to check the washer fluid? You even probably noticed when it ran out the last time your used it.
And 3 markers is not a short in the pigtail. That would leave more lights out than that.

They had been flickering for a few days, per the CB warriors. And I knew I was out of washer fluid. If I had more on the truck it would have been full. But I was going to do a 10 hour break an hour from the house so I could fill the reservoir. It was the line from tractor to trailer. When I throw my tarps on the catwalk to then get them on the trailer without killing myself, I keep tossing them on the cord. Well that eventually worked the wires loose in there and it affected only certain things on the trailer. The tag light was just out though. That’s on me.

At any rate, I’ll not be living it down for another 3 years lol

Aint try to be smart with you but for some reason out here in Texas they do check that. Been pulled over a couple of times in the last 2 years for randoms and that is always one of the things they check. Out in in west Texas where I live I keep my full just because of all the dust i'm in all the time.

Which begs the question “How are you going to fight such a ticket for many lights out and inoperable windshield washer?”

How do you check the washer fluid on a cascadia. I have never seen a place to see level. I just add till it's full but would be nice just to see the level
