Tanker test is uber easy! Mostly practicle sence.
Hazmat not that bad either. Get the Trucking Truth App and just retake test until solid
You have guts proven by your military service (Thank You! By the way.) Trucking is alot like the military.

That’s right Tanker breeze Hazmat a bit of study. I missed a couple too many first time studied and passed. I haven’t had either in 12 yrs or more. As I remember hazmat was the only test required at renewal

I wished I would have got a cdl right out of the military! I was on indeed today and it’s ridiculous with the amount of local jobs that pay well.

As an update, I signed up for CDL School today through Troops to transportation. I’m suppose to start school on sept 24th. This evening a recruiter called me from swift and offered to put me through there driving academy free of charge, if I drive for them for 12 months. Plus I’d bank 1700 a month on bah. However, I’ve never herd great things about them, and I’m pretty set on Schneider tanker at the moment!

I’m going to get Tanker again next time around. I occasionally haul totes on a dryvan.A lot more Shippers are requiring Tanker endorsements.Meanwhile I ask. Had a broker tell me it didn’t matter no one checks your license. I’m not signing up for that and being liable

Sneider has definitely been into Tankers forever.Im sure you get the best Training.Once your establishe a bit every door will open. Most important is learning the right and safe way while making a decent check. Most Tanker Drivers tell me it beats the #### out of freight.

Run from Swift only if you are desperate should you consider them. Better companies will pay for training. Schnieder will actually.

    Rideandrepair and Moore101 Thank this.

You can have Averitt put you in contact with a driver on dedicated accounts. That'sthe best info possible to have.

It doesn't matter to broker because the driver pays the fine for hauling freight he's not qualifiedto pull. It costs maybe $20 to get qualified. I'm sure the ticket is way more than $20.

    Here’s an update!

I’m going on Day 3 of Troops to Transportation CDL school, it’s going well. Test for permits this Thursday. It’s allot of information to remember. Got DOT phyiscals tomorrow, and our first recruiter is coming from covenant transport.

    tscottme and Chinatown Thank this.
