That’s crazy, driver 1 shoots driver 2 in his truck and that’s self defense??? ... why would you follow driver 2 to his truck to begin with especially if he says he is going to get his gun.. Don’t make any sense....

Knuckleheads sending rounds down field over a space in public have zero business handling a gun.

Because when someone says they are going to the truck to get a gun, I'm going to make #### sure they don't shoot me in the back after they get said gun.

Sounds like two idiots to me, but fuel island squatters have gotten out of control.

Surprise surprise, gridlock at the fuel pumps and one truck is fueling.

The stupidest thing in this entire story is the d.o.t. mandated 30 minute breaks. You're on elogs, the truck stop is full, you've ran down your eight, if you move 2 inches you set off your logs (only a slight exaggeration), so you drag your feet at the fuel island. It doesn't surprise me that people are camping out at fuel islands more and more. A constipated truck driver may block you into the fuel island, just don't shoot him when he comes back from the bathroom.

Oh no... that's not why they want the guns. Neither the media NOR the general public give a fyingfluck about 2 truck drivers at a truck stop having a violent confrontation.

A few years back, at the Flying Hook in Baytown Texas, a couple drivers in the driver's lounge got into an argument about what they were going to watch on TV. One driver went into the C store, got a claw hammer and went back into the TV room and KILLED the other driver. It didn't make the news. Why not? Because NO ONE cares. Truck drivers are the scum of the earth in the eyes of the media. The only reason why you are hearing about this particular incident is because the star of the show is the g-u-n. If one driver slit the other driver's throat, this would not be news.

Way too many petulant “adults” out here. Then add in way too many inconsiderate azses and elogs in every truck, and this is what you get when they converge.

In this specific case, Yes... absolutely... 100% self defense

Where... anywhere, in this story do you see that driver 1 followed driver 2 back to his truck?

    DSK333 Thanks this.
