As long as you have cargo liability ins (usually100 k) coverage your good.Unless ofcourse the product is destroyed and it’s value exceeds 100k.If so broker should require it. $100 k standard for gen freight dont know about reefer. Ins cert should read $1,000,000. Auto Liability (That covers damage to others property).Minimum required by law $750k. And $100,00 motor truck cargo ( covers freight damaged in accident, theft, etc) Minimum required by law $75k. Unless hauling agricultural exempt ( Farmer or hauling ? for Farming operation) I’ve known of people hauling mulch under Exempt rule even though they were for hire, not sure if that’s legal or not.what’s referred to Refrigeration coverage involves coverage for breakdown of reefer. Not required by law.
x1Heavy Thanks this. -
A total and absolute breakdown by reefer I only had one time in my lifetime. The #### thing gave plenty of warning though, literally coughing like a human before it finally did break for good. Fortunately I was 5 hours from Denver on I-70 while it's nighttime, 50 degrees and a little colder in the rain Cargo temperature was 42. So the failure of the reefer was not... fatal as it might have been with say -20 dough or icecream. The cargo at 42 was a solid load of Mexican greens produce from across the border at Nogales AZ.

Nice. TY very much. It's a good learning experience for me.
What is that there Disease thing? They are not going to freaking Africa or something are they? -
Basically that’s all you need to get most loads although reefer norms may be higher due to the cost of the product. The 2 pics should be compared side by side they are from 1 page “proof of ins cert”

You’re right
But I’m a new entrant, I don’t have much choice for the insurance :/ -
Well thank you everyone for your answer
I appreciate the help -
You mean to tell me you would put more stock in what your insurance agents says than what X1Heavy has to share??? Really!
