The big tires on a prime mover (not sure of the size) could handle it.
-
What are you talking about?
-
I was thinking depending on tire size, it could be done on a tri axle trailer with 30k axles, but on a tandem tractor it would have to be a stout set of rears on something like you said....prime mover.
-
This is from last year. Boss was worried the load would be heavier than estimated. I'm about 39K empty and the load was supposed to be 86Klbs on a 3 axle flat. Wound up only being 84K.
Final loaded weights wound up at:
19,760
45,320
57,840
122,920 gross
I permitted for 54K on the drives. 46K rears with tires for 52K.

Yea that makes sense.

Might want to read that blanket a little closer on running anywhere you want. The one I had you had to research the routing to see if it passed for the blanket permit.

Thats Interesting they will permit axle weights like that. I wonder how many guys they have busted for being over on axle or tire capacity. Its almost a trap or a dare.

A lift axle that is lowered with airbags, and springs hold it in the up position.
375, or 425 r22.5.cke Thanks this. -
He never asked about a lift axle. He was asking about a hydraulic or mechanical neck trailer.
425r22.5 tires are rated for 11,400 lbs each at 120psi. Only gets you to 22,800lbs for the axle still not even close to 30K.SAR, cke, snowman_w900 and 1 other person Thank this.
