In Tennessee on I-65 South and Mile Marker 104, just as you drop off the steep hill, I pulled over on the shoulder to pee.
Saw a dent on top of the guard rail and looked over in the trees and bushes below. There was a multi-million dollar cigarette boat & most of it covered with tree limbs and brush. Don't know what happened to it. Every now and then I'd stop to see if it was still there and maybe 3 weeks later it disappeared.

It is amazing what falls off of those pickups. Epsecially when people don't think.

This morning I am behind someone at a light who had a nice chainsaw sitting on the bed of the truck, it isn't a cheap one either - Husqvarna 455 24 inch. So the guy takes off like a bat out of hell and the entire thing slide right off the bed and right in front of me. Well hell I couldn't move, it was right there, didn't want to run it over so i went and picked it, threw it into the back of my truck and thought to myself, there is no way in hell that I would catch up to the guy, he is already on the freeway and I didn't get his license number.

This was the second time in a week I had this happen, the other day my boy was with me and a tool box came off a pickup that they left on the tailgate, it was a nice one too, but after picking up the tools out the middle of the street and throwing them in the back of the pickup, there was no way I could catch up so it is all sitting on my workbench in the barn right now, some pretty good tools too.

About 10 years ago , I 65 south bound Kentucky around 4:00 A.M. Came over a hill and there was blinding police car flashers in the middle lane - slowed down of course and there was a probably 30' cabin cruiser boat just sitting in the middle of the highway .Nobody else was around . Police officer looked perplexed .

Take the saw to your local Husky dealer. He can run the serial number and if the saw was bought new by the guy that lost it the dealer can get it back to him.

It sounds like you live in an area that has a lot of lead in the water.

This all reminds me of how I met my wife. I saw her fall out of the back of a truck and threw her in the back of mine.

This reminded me of a story I heard years ago that I've never been able to find out anything about. It goes like this. You know I40 through the mountains between Knoxville and Asheville NC? It's really curvy, a couple tunnels and it snakes along beside a river with steep drops here and there down to the river. I heard a family was canoeing that river and looked up a cliff to see a complete semi (truck and trailer) just kind of hanging in the trees on the side of cliff. What supposedly happened is that a driver missed a curve on I40 and went straight off in a spot where there were no noticeable marks, didn't bust a guardrail or anything else to make it obvious a truck had flown off.

The family called it in and the guy was still in the truck, buckled in and dead, just hanging there. He had been missing for days and no one knew where he went. This was before cell phones and satellite tracking, about 20 years ago.

Can anyone confirm this story? It's been rumor here in east Tn for a long time.

Two or three winters ago, I saw a Comfort Pro APU on the eastbound shoulder of I40. This was maybe 30 miles west of Flagstaff, Az. That stretch of highway was always really tore up. I guess it just fell off the frame of someone's truck.
