MBN's can be flashed with a 6NZ ECM file, given an upgraded turbo and pull like a boss. Most post-6NZ CAT's need some modifications to be real strong motors. Even SDP's can be made into monsters.

It's too bad it doesn't have a 13 or 18 spd tranny in it. I think their asking way too much for it.young trucker12 and spsauerland Thank this.

what’s a good price range??

Why the heck the original owner order that truck with a 10 speed. That would be enough to deter me
Kw Owners Club Thanks this. -
I like that is a flat top. I really don't know what it's worth without being there in person and checking it over.young trucker12 Thanks this.

Pretty truck. Don't forget its still a 15 year old truck. The transmission wouldn't stop me from buying it if you plan to do tandem work with it on fairly flat land. What would stop me is a truck dealer rebuild with no warranty. Without a CAT backed warranty its a 40g truck to me. I realize that guys are paying more but when a backyard inframe on a CAT can be 20g and a full bore inframe at CAT can hit 40g l wouldn't want to take that chance. Everyone's different thought so good luck on your decision.
young trucker12 Thanks this. -
i agree, sooooo many inframes out there on cats and people selling them at the rate that it is bullet proof. You get no piece of mind. In my own truck, if or when my cat goes south, im getting a cat rebuild. even if it costs 10 more thousand, at least you have a piece of mind.young trucker12 Thanks this.

4ys unlimited miles by a cat certified shop means alot
wore out, SAR, young trucker12 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Imagine paying 15-20 k to a shop to do a rebuild with no warranty vs paying 30k to cat and having an issue. You just lost a lot of money and down time.pushbroom and young trucker12 Thank this.

Between being known for having good mechanics and being cat certified is the reason we get lots of rebuilds. Quite a few guys will get a platinum then never see them again unless warranty.
young trucker12, SAR and Cam Roberts Thank this.
