Hey all!!!. Just got the call, CRST is taking me on. Leaving March 2nd. Now, I know about the team driving thing and all that. 21 days out, 5 days home. Orientation is out in Iowa. Can anyone tell me any recent info on them about being good or bad to their drivers. I just want the experience of 6 months, then go with Schneider. That's the ideal trucking job. I know that their are past posts on CRST, but they are old posts. Any one got any recent news on them on how they treat their drivers?

It may be a coincidence but there was a thread posted yesterday showing they had a driver killed in a wreck on I-77 in Virginia . Not his fault and he never had a chance . He was Southbound . A speeding Northbound rig lost control and went across the Southbound lanes ending up in the right of way off the right shoulder . The CRST tractor went right through the middle of the other trailer .

    SupaTruka Thanks this.

Another Cedar Rapids Super Trucker hits the road. I wonder what that company would be like if it was still Cedar Rapids Steel Transport?

Well my hubby just got done with his training and is out with his trainer. He loves it, the trainer is awsome he says. He has no complaints at all. He does NOT get paid .11/mile though. (I know, i get his paychecks :biggrin_25525:)

The worst he had to sit so far was only 1 day becuase the company was not open to drop the load to.

Well my husband drives for crst..as they say you got some good people and some bad...so hopefully you get a good trainer! my husbands trainer was the best! His Name is Dre' you can also ask them if you can have a particular driver if you know someone..sometimes they'll let you train with that person if there not taken already..after your first month..its really all on your dispatcher what you will experience with crst. but personally my husband likes it because they move freight on a regular..so you'll be making money atleast. Congrats and Good luck! ( :
