Hey guys just was going to replace the buddy's clutch linkage arm on his 2006 379 with a eaton 18 speed and I came to a cross roads. I have the nut off rod that the linkage goes to and the nut off the bolt for the rod that goes to the paddle. So now I can't get the arm off the shaft thay goes into bell housing what am I doing wrong or have to do?

Did you pull the bolt out of the lever on the transmission cross shaft? For some reason I want to say there might be a groove in the shaft for the pinch bolt.
BoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
I'm not sure what you mean exactly. It seems to be there is also a thick spacer that goes between the nut and the lever it self.
-
Like he said the thick washer is holding it. Remove the bolt and washer. Then it should come off.

If you are just trying to get the aluminum arm off the shaft it can be a bit of a bear.
Outside in goes nut, washer, steel stop collar, half moon key, aluminum arm.
The steel collar seizes to the shaft and key and can be hard to remove.
Key must be removed before the aluminum arm will come offSAR and spsauerland Thank this. -
Those things can get stuck pretty bad, I've had to cut a couple off before.
