I like these new glue traps. They work great catching bugs too. I’ve had them catch small snakes and baby mice too. Not sure if they would hold an adult mouse, but they might.

@IluvCATS better not read this thread.
I saw an interesting oil bowl nouse trap on you tube. Maybe just release them to the hungry cats in the morning? Or a rolling log mouse trap.

Mice hate the smell of Moth Balls and Peppermint ( I use Peppermint oil). Nice natural way to repel them. Someone once told me used coffee grounds work, but never tried that one.

We found that spreading the Snake Away pellets along the fence line four times a years keeps snakes and mice away. It's a combination of peppermint clove, cinnamon and some moth ball stuff. Smells rank about 48 hours after you put it down and then fades off. Put a thick enough line down and it absolutely works.

But snakes eat mice? Natural mouse defence.

Peppermint would be good in my "RV". I spent last winter in AZ and mice were everywhere. Woke up too many times in the night to hear them chewing on stuff or jumping around inside.
I wouldn't want to kill the Kangaroo Rats, they are unique. -
Peppermint oil does work... I put some on some of the felt pads in the wiring compartment of my wife's stove. But it is to expensive to do on a larger scale.
SassyTruckerWife and Oldironfan Thank this. -
So mice will not chew on peppermint twizzlers?
skellr Thanks this. -
I don't think I would either.kemosabi49, Cattleman84 and Swiss Mountain Dog Thank this.
