In June my husband will have 5 years with Swift. He is at .37 west coast .39 east coast That will go up to .39 west coast and .41 east coast. Don't think that everyday we don't worry that they will find a way to get rid of him so they can pay a cheaper driver. We ended the week with 750 miles. I kid you not. I can't help but wonder if they are trying to starve him out. He has no accidents, never late, ect. ect. All around good guy and driver. That doesn't help their bottom line though. I hope they wouldn't be that low, but you never can tell.

With his record and experience it shouldn't be too hard to find a better company if he ends up having too. My brother in law told me he drove for
Crete and said he came off the road for his wife's sake. He said he would
still be driving for them and they treated him good, got him home if he needed too, etc. Your husband could find a good company if he ever needs too.

You go for it macho, my situation is about the same. I am cheering for ya!! And I know how much of an uphill battle it can be not having the years experience most companies require. I have loads of straight truck experience but not a lot of class A experience. Which means you might as well have none or be fresh out of driver school. It is easier to get a job just out of school than to have no school but 6 months here and there tractor-trailer experience. I hauled feed for a while, should have stuck with it.:biggrin_2553: It was a local job and a fun one. :biggrin_25525:

Thanks for the help, I still see no bad reviews about the NW swift terminals and actually got a good review from this. I'm just doing this to get my time in and move on to a local job. I finally figured that I am going to go with thier heavy haul side of it. A friend of mine works Swift heavy haul out of sumner Wa and pays a cent more and you get more home time. Sounds like the thing for me. Plus the heavy haul would be good since most of our local runs are hauling wood chips from the mills and it's all heavy haul and double trailers. Well only 3 days till i head for orientation. This should be fun LOL
