Well there’s several ways, however I’ll just state my issue. I took my step dads stock wheelbase busa out for the first time (I ride a 750)...He installed some #### on it and the gear indicator gauge quit reading, so it says neutral at all times. I was coming off the interstate onto an off ramp, once the ramp broke into 2 lanes I went to downshift and go around the vehicle in front of me as it was slowing to merge right into a turning lane...I thought I was in 3rd, however I was in 2nd so the bike actually went to 1st...I rev match my downshift and roll back on the throttle smoothly and immediately...Now, if you’ve rode for 36 years, then you know what kicking a busa down into the powerband of first gear and rolling on the throttle will do...Wheel came up, very fast, however I know how to wheelie and familiar with the wheel up; I didn’t panic, I covered the rear brake and slowly rolled off the throttle to sit it back down without slamming the forks into the ground...Most people likely would’ve looped the bike or completely shut the throttle off then get thrown o we the handle bars when it came down.

Now, there AEE several other ways to have an oh #### moment, like a sticky throttle or clutch cable...Don’t know what reason I’d have to lie to y’all, not like y’all are the judges and prosecutors smh...How could I get sound advice or opinions if I had really just been riding a mile long wheelie and told y’all it was an oh #### moment....Wheel was up for all of 2 seconds, at a speed no greater than 30mph...My integrity isn’t what’s in question here.

    Nah I don't buy that.

My kid has a modded hayabusa and he never had that issue.

    You need a gear indicator?

I tell you the same thing I told him when he got his first bike, protect your license and don't play stupid games. In your case your CDL is far more important than riding, maybe not riding a strange bike may be helpful?

Get the plea, the carrier is supposed to pull your MVR and review your annual performance, usually combined with your annual report of convictions for moving violations.

When I do this I use the MVR abstracts pulled by my insurance broker at renewal time.

A reckless discovered at this time will result in the insurance company denying to insure the individual.

You need to plead this down.

I've never ridden a motorcycle that has told me what gear I was in...just an idiot light for neutral. I've also never unintentionally wheelied due to being in the wrong gear. Yes, my 1100 Kaw will lift the front end if I grab a handful of throttle. Solution? I don't grab a handful of throttle. Problem solved.

Safety department will need to talk to you before they will fire you. The likelihood of you getting fired whilst exercising your right to have an attorney, will lessen any chances. Even if it’s just a bluff, it will make them think twice.

    Play your cards right.

Apparently you've never ridden a real bike then. On any modern 1000 a slight slip of the clutch at the right RPM and up you go!

    busa?

You mean a Hayabusa? One of the only bikes that are seriously fast for it's own good?

It's one thing if you had a tired worn out Norton that has issues. But a finely tuned bike that will cause any Teen to give his left nut to run? hahaha. Once it pleases the court to discover what a Busa is... it's all over.

I read the story a little bit and I don't think I buy it.

If anything I like fast vehicles. That's probably why I don't buy it. And no I don't ride. Much. The last time I did a quad almost ate my leg and a honda trailbike almost got my knee. Serves me right. I stick with horses and that I don't do that well.

I hate to be difficult. But in order to do a wheelie, you need a enormous amount of horsies with a very large input of your hand and wrist. If you really had a whoops, that bike should left you behind on the ground and run into a pole or something. It's common sense.

I think ive said enough. I would have wished you were kicking a tired Norton, not a special machine purpose made to get fast and nothing else.

If you ride a 1400 then you know #### well how easy that front wheel can come off the ground. I refuse to acknowledge trikes until I'm missing a leg.

It still requires throttle. And that's not an OH $###
