Again, you've missed the slipping the clutch part. Slip the clutch while on the throttle and the front wheel will rise. On a big cc bike this is very very easy to do.
Reckless general non-speeding

When I was in the Navy, me and dude swapped bikes to go for a ride.
I had a GS550e & dude had a Nighthawk S.
Well I see the red and blue lights reflecting in the street signs at a stop light.
Cop says "I been chasing you guys for 14 miles. License & registrations."
So he's looking at them, then puzzled, then looks at us.
I says "That's my bike, this is his."
Cop says "I understand perfectly what's going on."
Verbal warnings. -
Come on guys, give the man a break. He made a mistake and he’s willing to face the consequences for it, he just doesn’t want to lose his livelihood over such a simple thing. No one was hurt, no damage was done, and he says it was an accident not intentional.
I owned a ‘Busa for a few years, so I know exactly how much power they have. I ride a big cruiser now simply because it’s more comfortable for me on long rides.
Anyone dude can make a mistake. It takes a man to admit it. Good luck -
An accidental wheelie now i've heard everything, and i'd bet the police officer that issued the ticket said the same thing. Actually we have a TV show here on Fox 8 which shows all the traffic incidents that police on the Victorian highway patrol have to deal with every day some are down right dangerous some are really hilarious i saw one guy riding what looked like an esky with a motor on it, they had a good laugh about it he got a warning cause the thing could barely go faster than a speed walker was told to keep it off the road and that was that so then they catch a motor cyclist doing a big wheelie going in the opposite direction, when they finally caught up with him he got a ticket for uncontrolled driving and had his bike impounded for 30 days which cost him with fines over $1000 so yeah its best to keep all wheels planted firmly on the pavement. or get a side car or better still stick to driving 4 wheeler's.

Nope. Didn't miss it.
I've never slipped the clutch. I been riding 36 years. -
No don't agree, not anyone can make a mistake like that.
Yes it takes a man but defending it to others who call him on it, please that's where he lost his argument.
I hope he gets it reduced or thrown out but I also hope he takes it easier in the future and take his CDL seriously. -
The 1st year I rode in the Toys for Tots Motorcycle Parade in Chicago, I met a guy who was missing his left leg. He was riding a red Ducati. He'd strap his crutches across the back seat, swing his stump over the bike, stand it up, use a stick to raise the side stand and put it in gear. Stow the stick, and away he'd go. Get to where he's going, he'd use the stick to get it into neutral and lower the side stand.
Where there's a will, there's a way.DSK333 Thanks this. -
And that's an intentional thing that the rider has absolute control over, NOT something the bike inexplicably does on its own.
-
That's awesome! Only people I've met that ride trikes are missing a leg.
One can accidentally slip the clutch. It happens. -
To the guys with genuine helpful responses, I greatly appreciate your time...
The rest of you: i don’t work for you, you aren’t the officer, the judge, nor the prosecutor. Just random mf’s online, I have ZERO motive to lie to YALL. And frankly, don’t know a #### thing about street bikes. I don’t know what would incline you guys to think whether you “buy it” or not was worth your time in typing up these long ### comments addressing everything but what I’m asking. Lastly, if you don’t ride at all, or if all your experience is on cruisers or touring bikes; you don’t know a thing about super bikes. On a bike with #### near an equal amount of hp as it’s weight, at that power to weight ratio you do not need a hand full of throttle in gears 1-3 to lift that wheel. You guys lack a clear understanding of what a powerband, midrange, and low end tourque is. I’ve been dragging knees and riding standup wheelies on superbikes for 15 years, however there’s a time and place for that and an off ramp with a car in front of you is not one of those times or places. ANY moment can be an “oh ####” moment on a super bike, they are less forgiving than the tanks y’all ride and a simple brain fart can put you down, experience is what keeps you alive during the ramifications of a brain fart. 1st gear on ANY 1000cc or greater superbike WILL send you into a full back flip with little throttle depending where you are in the powerband.
