I'm confused. Are those weights bobtail, or with a trailer?

My truck has the fuel tanks right behind the steers. Along with C15 CAT,.. full of fuel I am always 12,300 - 12,400 on my steers,.. empty or loaded. My 5th wheel is slid all the way back and has little effect on steer weight.

My tires are rated for over 14,000,.. not worried. Have never been hassled.

    Mine is 12,500
    Should be 13,200 !!

Brand new 2016 Volvo 780 with full 150s is 13,100 lbs steer ... Overweight!!

When i hook gross wt trailer I'll drop to 11,800 - 12,400lbs depending on FW setting.

    Crazy.

Depends on the dealer who ordered it. They know what they are doing or not. The new trucks weigh a lot with all the stuff on them the Volvo is especially heavy, all should be ordered with a 13200.

There's always something to learn here on this forum.
Is there a way to tell if the truck you are interested in buying is set back axle or not ? Are there differences in front bumber styles for cascadia or vnl 670 I couldn't find any info on how to tell the difference between setback and regular or set farward axle configuration for cascadia or vnl 670 except there are very a few, truck paper dealers that mention this under description. Unless asked specifically as I did
Email 6 different dealerships and called couple of them that had "good" prices for low miles 2014 -16 dd15 and 2014 -to 2016's 670's and all but 1 replied that yes they are setback Axles.
Is that " how " normal it is to just go and buy setback axle or one should look for the farward axle for dry van lower 48 states ca to ga,tn,ms,tx,ky,ok,ks,mo,in, area ?

The setback is to get the weight off the front axle?

I parked my 97 international hood I just bought alongside my company 4900 sb thinking my international was going to be a beast to drive because of the long nose.

Both trucks are the exact same wheelbase but the western star SB has 18 inches more in front of the wheels

The view is better with the SBWestern star but it is just that much more nose to try not to hit crap with when getting in tight situations.
