SNI team drivers get new trucks
-
I think the problem is all the technology including Automated trans. The new driver is only holding the steering wheel and becomes drowsy from not using gross motor skills such as shifting, checking mirrors etc and they're falsely led to believe the technology will keep them safe. As for HOS, theres no flexibility and there needs to be. I was 20 minutes from home and had to shut down and do a 10 hour break so i could make it home to go on Vacation for a week. And to boot I had to stop at 1930 at that.
mickimause, SingingWolf and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
i find that to be appalling....
some guy (or gal) with maybe as much as 2 years experience, has to take a back seat to a team, for a new truck.Last Time Around Thanks this. -
Seeing as how Freightliners don't really last that long.... I can only suppose that SNI wants to use them up fast

I personally think that Freighliners are the equivalent to the K cars of the "80's.... -

That looks a lot like the same truck that past me the other day in California doing at least 65, about 2 to 3 feet in my lane.
