Sorry, I apologize about the email addy, guess I should have read the rules a lil better. OK my point is, don't buy the PC Miler Navigator. ALK has dumped this into the market for the consumer to help fix and add addresses that arent found, among other problems. If anyone would like to discuss this with me, feel free to ask the moderstor for my emaill address.

It seems ALK Technologies was in a big hurry to put this product on the market before anyone else, however there is a company that beat them to the punch, Teletype.....and their unit has problems also. Anyway , the Navigator 430 has serious issues, to name just a few.......the unit would not switch from day time to night time screen.....the text to voice quit working.....and there were several instances where the addresses were not found, I have the PC Miler 18.0 version on my laptop, which is not a gps program, but still I was able to find the addresses that the PC Miler Navigator did not find..................when I contacted ALK Technologies, they told me the unit had the most newest and updated map software,,,that my friend was just a bold face lie..............However, don't give up, now that ALK has tested the Navigator 430 on the public, they might get it right this time....Basically, ALK used their consumers to fix the problems the Navigator 430 has or had.....:biggrin_25516:

There will always be problems with new units. Thats alot of info to put together they shoulda tested it for an extended period of time b4 it was released to work out problems rather than pass it on to the consumer. Im sure the next ones will be better.

There is a thread with a lengthy review... Im glad I decided to research it before buying... Im happy with using my Tom Tom... its not for trucks and I dont strictly rely on it... its just another tool along with my Atlas, Google Maps, QC directions etc.

There is suppossed to be an updated version comming out at the end of this month. But remember, this unit is only a tool, dont rely on it for total routing. I do have to say, that as long as ALK has been in the business of truck routing, it's a shame they put this unit out on the market for their consumers to test..........always, always check your atlas........

Yeah my buddy had one of these and he said he hated it because he could barely hear the voice on it, and it kept freezing up on him. So pc miller said he could send it back and wait for like 3 months while they fixed it or try to get another one at a TA somewhere, but they were all sold out so he returned it.
