2016 Volvo D13 500hp I shift eco torque

    I'm using delo 10/30 as manual says. I get all my pms done at riglube in mississauga. They have volvo filters and do a great job, your in and out in no time ND don't pay the stealer rates

    Depends on where you drive. Check your Manuel.

    I gotta call bs on this. There are exactly 0 labor operations that have an SRT time of 60 hours. Even a complete in frame is nowhere close to that. Not to say your truck didn't have an issue, but I would be hard pressed to believe that.

    Contrary to what you may have heard there are no cafe standards for fuel mileage for class 8 trucks.. Yet. However Volvo has their big changes to the D13 platform scheduled for the 2017 model year. You should be seeing them on the road around November next year as 2016 orders should be filled by then.

    Dave, I'm excited for some of these major updates. I think the D13 with common rail is going to be awesome, along with the compound turbos.

    I know it's old thread but since it's kind a related so ...looking at 2016 670, 370 k
    miles D13 500 hp eco- torque
    10 speed manual.
    What do you guys think ? How is it doing for you guys so far with 2016 model . it will be used for lower 48 states starting from California for dry van . Is 500 hp too much ? Should I tell the dealers to tune it down to 475 hp may be .they say some oem warranty is left on it but I heard volvo with 500 hp automatic warranty is less than on their 455 hps but this one is 10 speed so your opinions and experiences would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

    Factory fill is 10-30.

    I don't recommend 15-40 on any DPF truck because of higher levels of ZDDP.

    Lengthy explaination but there's also low flow problems caused by 15-40 oils that will wipe out the top end of Volvo and Cummins motors after they get some carbon buildup.

    You mean on warranty or being at 500 hp and dont downgrade to 475 or 455 with manul ? Any suggestions on torque ratio 3.08 downgrade if it is 3.47 or higher?
