Well it is and until it's not one shouldn't be "enjoying" it if they want a career in trucking. If you wanna smoke a doob more power to ya but if you get caught the only thing you're going to be driving is the shopping cart pusher at Walmart!

I work for Watkins Shepard which is owned by Schneider. I hear they are fixing to start or may have already started hair follicle here, but it's on accurate from the previous 90 days. So from the way I understand they only go back 90 days. I did hear they are pushing fmcsa to go to a hair test only no more urine test. But that's just hear say.

If i take prescribed meds morphine to be exact, will that make me not pass the pre-employment drug test or am i ok because its prescibed. I do not do anything that is not prescribed.

Am i ok if i have to do a pre employment drug test but am prescibe morphine. I do not use anything unless prescibe by my doctor so am i good to go cause i know that'll show up on the drug screening?

I applied to Watkins Shepard and did not realize Schneider bought them out but position was for shipping & receiving
I have NEVER FAILED a drug screen in my history of working period and I NEVER USE DRUGS but my nephew admitted smoking crack in the bathroom at home and in the research I have conducted you can't get it by 2nd smoke
Now my question is why would someone call me and ask me when the last time I did cocaine when I NEVER have and I've had CDL's for 17 yrs -
They have started and I applied for the shipping & receiving position bcuz I'm tired of being gone from home plus my youngest jus started college and want to b close for her

What about people who have a medical marijuana card from a state where it is legal? Doesn't that count as a prescription drug? Would a failed hair test go on your record at Scheider if you have legal proof but pass the pee test and just not the hair test?

Yes, a positive drug test will go on your record and you will be declined employment...period. Medical marijuana cards isn't some sort of work-around. You can argue the logic but you'll still end up without a job and a positive drug test on your record. Regardless of how states treat medical or recreational marijuana, it's still federally illegal.
