You guys don't really know what a 3PL is, lol. 3PL is a service. There are a few huge 3PLs that do not have broker license. You do not need a broker license at all to be a 3PL.
3PLs take care of logistical needs. Big companies such as Hostess, IFCO and other companies don't have the man power to run a logistics department. So they outsource it to a company. That company doesn't need a broker's license to operate. It helps when you want to throw a load on the spot market to cover it but, usually 3PLs have a HUGE carrier basis that if a load doesn't get covered they can just send it within their network.
For how smart everyone acts surprising how ignorant people can be. Lol. -
Can you say triple dipped brokering.
That is before the carrier gets their cut.
This is how I think of it.
I'm just a salty driver. -
You are salty, it's not triple dipped at all. If you take a load at anything less than what you want that's your fault.
KB3MMX Thanks this. -
