Hazmat, have a misdemeanor, will it stop me from getting it?

    So I was thinking of getting my hazmat but I have a little bit of a record no felonies but one violent crime but it's a class a misdemeanor would that stop me from getting it ??

    Grounds for denying a HAZMAT basically puts you on the same level as the 9/11 hijackers. If you're not at that level, you should be good to get a HAZMAT. I think TWIC card is a little more stringent actually
