2018 Intermodal

Not exactly on topic, but Monday morning the state boys were working arsenal and were not pulling over can guys. Had a car hauler, a JB & a bobtail something.

 

think we've been overbooked for the last 2 years lol and i just heard that co. got access to jbhunt crosstown division so now they're hiring 5-10 to run crosstowns for JB dedicated

 

So I was going to ask is will county was still working arsenal. I hadn't seen them out there in over 3 weeks and before I got astound to actually typing this, I saw 3 with trucks pulled over, so never mind.

How's cans treating everyone? Rates still going up? Tanker rates finally leveled off or cooled just a little on routes.

 

When you pull a container out of the rail yard how can they give you a weight ticket right away knowing full well that you haven't even had a chance to get to a weight scale? And if the container is overweight, then how in the world are you going to get it to scale?

 

I'm purchasing a 2006 Peterbuilt with a C15 and 13 speed. Have to rebuild the motor and transmission. Any advice for me?
