Are there any satellite coverage issues running out of Midland, Odessa or Monahans, Texas?

Generally qualcomm has a Geo over SW Texas Mexico area to cover the USA I never had any issues.

Satellite coverage gets iffy when you are either under a mountain or ridge blocking the SW Sky or high up into the Arctic circle latitudes.

We had Cricket but switched to Verizon. Reception appears to be better.
