So trucks out here in CA are dirt cheap right now. Million O/O going down and getting rid of their trucks. I'm looking to buy one right now for the main purpose of hauling construction equipment and a backhoe. However, theres no work for that right now. What I mean is I have a lot of construction work right now but little that would require the truck. What I want to know is, what would it take to purchase one. I'm looking at something simple. 400k miles 2 axle day cab at around 10-15k. I'm thinking of buying one for dirt cheap and parking it at our lot and leaving it there until its needed. Whats the reg fees on something like that? Whats insurance on something that you aren't driving more than 1000 miles a month? 0 years OTR experience. I learned about trucks from other guys on the job site with them. Thanks guys.
Heres an odd situation for ya.
