    Hello everyone .
I'm looking to work under company name
Using my own truck first time o/o and trailer rent from the same company the one I'm looking to work with it just confuse about insurance
What coverages do I need if I lease on to a motor carrier ?
company was saying need to bring my own insurance cargo and liability and physical damage from insurance company not from them .. I heard from driver I'm not sure saying if you going to work under company name you should to have the liability from broker or from the company the one I'm going to work it
I'm not sure what he means and you just need to do the physical damage and cargo insurance
But if you have your DOT Number and you working under your name you need to do all of them ... and when I was calling insurance company to check with them
About the physical damage and cargo and liability insurance too much charge $1700 the cheapest one and some of them more up ..

If you leasing on to a company you only need physical damage and bobtail for your truck. That is usually the case and it should not be that expensive.

    Thanks for the reply ....
The company the one I'm going to work with it there was saying I need to bring my own insurance for the cargo and liability and physical damage that's why confuse me sounds like they don't offer insurance coverage for owner operator
    Working under their company name

They were saying they will cover the trailer the one they going to give it to me
Included with the rent just trailer cover
    No load insurance cover
And I know like you said if you working under company name should i get something and I know they're going to charge me for that but this is the one I knows ..
