    Drivers like me are on ELD and work hard to make it work but often it doesn't.

    I don't think the problem is going to die out in my career so why should I kill myself?

    I don’t know what all the crowin’ an cacklin’s about. Sounds like a personal problem which would require PC mode to rectify.....on second thought that might be laying an egg that would blow up in your face......

    So 2 questions;

    1 - are you exempt because of the 100/150 mile exemption?

    2 - how many hours are left when you get to the customer?

    You do know your 10 hour reset is a voluntary thing, it is not a requirement at the point you park.

    Oxbow and x1Heavy Thank this.

    The shipper 90% of the time is not going to give a rat's ### about hos, it doesn't apply to them and what, 99.99% of them aren't the person actually paying for the shipping?. They're there to collect their paycheck and that's all they care about. When you show up to pick something up and it ain't ready do you go help them get it ready or do you say ok tell me when it is ready, they care about you're pains in the ### as much you care about theirs.

    Are you speaking of your 10 hour or your 30 minute?

    Descends further? Back in the paper log days we moved all over the place on our breaks. Of course that's why we now have ELD's and EOBR's, but that's for another thread. The point is, we did what needed done, and made it look good later.

    86scotty and Dennixx Thank this.

    Our ELDs show a violation in the office if you move on line 2, even though you don't trip to line 3 on the device you can see.

    Not sure about line 1, but interrupting the 8 in sleeper violates that rule. You can switch to pc to move out of the way and then take a 10 instead, but I'm not sure what you accomplish, other than going home sooner, not wasting more of your day unable to sleep, etc.

    You donated your time free of charge. And yes have brought about ELDs as a penance for your lies.
