I would not want to wish that on my worst enemy. But like a skeeter drawn to a bug light... so I bet.
If you did win. SIgn the back of that ticket for one. ANY one with a pulse can claim that one after they stole it from you. Which will probably what happens after you open your big mouth and broadcast by golly you got it all. They are going to come out ot the wood work.
Wait a month. Use this time to spin down your head and arrange for 1- A lawyer to send cease and detest letters to Mr and Mrs Sob story who spammed you for the 10,000th time. 2- A Accounting person, CPA or something. Nothing comes and goes without that person's say so. If you have to wait a day that's fine, have some sort of allowance set up. 3- a third person to oversee the property, taxes etc during the year.
4- talk to your postmaster about address change to divert a bin worth of mail.\
5- kill your landline, cells. All of them. Kill it.
No land line and only one little cell and do not let that phone ring on anyone not inside your contact list.
I can go on. But I like to think it's termites munching on that mountain of dollars in your vault afer you get.
The biggest mistake you can do with the jackpot is to run off to the main claim center. Get your picture taken 10,000 times down the block before the front doors. Wait a month or two until all that media crap goes away.
DO NOT say a #### thing to anyone at all. Remember money is easy come easy go, Nations rise and Nations fall.

actually, it is recommended that one does not sign that ticket, instead, put it in a safe place...and as you say...KEEP QUIET, and go see a law firm, good law firms have a bevy of experienced experts in handling this amount of money, and keeping your name out of anything. they can set up a blind trust, and NO ONE, will ever find out who you are...unless you open your mouth..
it's been in all the news, and on legal websites.....
once you sign that ticket, yes, you have protected your winnings, but you also expose yourself to the morons out there, and all your forgotten kin, children, lost loves and stray dogs.... -
This man used to be a trucker and has some advice for OP:

Real advice ---
You are never,
Good enough,
In the eyes,
of a woman,
with a mean streak.Suspect Zero and MACK E-6 Thank this. -
Never play poker with a man named Doc, never eat at a place called Mom's, and never, ever, sleep with a woman whose troubles are worse than your own.
Suspect Zero, brian991219, MACK E-6 and 2 others Thank this. -
Are you still working for the same company? If so try to stay there for a year.

Before the internet and forums made so much information open source to anybody, the only people who would know anything about anything would be the ones with years of experience under their belt. The only way to find out what you didn't know would be to
1. Blindly bulldoze your way through a randomly selected truck driving life choice door, or
2. Get learned about what's what from someone who already has done it and knows.
big shot daddy pants in the monster truck doesn't want you to know his secrets because
1. he'd just as soon move all the freight himself, and
2. his secrets make him a towering giant to the uninitiated.
The job is the same, holding a wheel and not killing anybody. Within that world are infinite levels of personal hygiene, income tax brackets, individual morality, and rate per mile. big shot daddy pants can also tell you're probably a shmuck from a 1/4 mile away, so he's going to help himself to a large serving of his own business, and leave you to yours.otterinthewater, Rubber duck kw and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Oh, that is simple.
No one can share knowledge that they do not have.Rideandrepair Thanks this.
