    That's pathetic...

    Look, I'm not trying to bash Landstar, I'm an approved asset based carrier in their system. Have been for 3 years.

    However, I can count on one hand the loads I've run for them. Why? Because so many loads I've inquired about off their loadboard or have called about off of DAT are exactly as you say, nothing to write home about.

    wow, not really sure how you managed to do that for an average. you could just about open up the load board, close your eyes and point to just about anything and still end up with 2.50+ without even trying.

    ive been driving since june of '17 and with LS since mid july of this year and average between 3-4k take home after fees,fuel etc. almost cracked 5k take home this past settlement.

    well good luck to you wherever you leased onto and keep the shiny side up.

    I know that you are a landstar broker trying to keep there image up. I don't blame you , your making great money off their hard work . I am just trying to show them how to keep more money in their pockets

    Well either way facts are facts 37% is a big cut out of the freight rate and I want my fellow driver's to know that there are companies out there that do the same things as far as , helping with authority ,permts and fuel cards for alot less or half of what landstar charges and they will keep alot more of there hard work profits in there pocket . Just by doing a Google search for owner operator companies they came find companies that charge 20%for those services half of what landstar charges and no bait and switch and other slimy things that brokers do

    I agree that the 35% (correct percentage) is hefty. I personally haven’t had to deal with any bait and switch and have only had one load cancel on me since I’ve been here.
