Right now I’m leasing a truck for 1,000 a week which also includes the insurance but nearly 100k later and more on repairs and maintenance I will own nothing. I’ve done a lot of research and come to the conclusion I will be happy with a kw t680, but I’m wondering what you guys think about this price and specs. 2016 T680 with 470k miles, 13 speed ultra shift auto. This was a fleet owned truck with some upgraded options, 3/4 fairings, leather interior, touch radio/nav, super singles, and a carrier apu. All these features and the condition of the truck I assume it was well taken care of and treated right and may have a good long life left without any major problems, but what do you think? Is it a good deal for 75k or not? Kw dealer also offers a 1 year major components warranty. Is that a good purchase?
My truck pick, opinions?

Price is inline with what I was seeing.
I just picked up a 2014 t-680 with 508k +/- at a KW dealer.
Super clean ex o/o truck..Paccar 500hp, 18sp manual, full guage package and pleather seats still like new.
No apu but has an Espar bunk heater and good working fridge. Ten brand new virgins and not a scratch on the exterior. Paid $55k but unfortunately an extended warranty they could set me up with would be $3,400.00? extra.
I spent 5 weeks of hard looking and really didn't want to get into a mega owned fleet truck.. I also found that the trucks I did get interested in, the dealers didn't want to negotiate much at all...was a frustrating experience over all..
I will say you could do better on price if you look for a 2014 or 15 with the same mileage like I did.
Likely save yourself 20k.
Good luck!KoolKruizeKing Thanks this. -
I'd have a dyno done, ecm dump, and everything else you would do before making the decision to purchase a truck. IMO fleet maintained only means extended PM services and rookie driven in most cases. If its had an APU on it since day one of the fleet having the truck that's obviously a positive, considering these new motors are no good to be constantly idled with all the soot that gets in.Nothereoften and KoolKruizeKing Thank this.

Bought my2013 cascadia from my carrier with 500k on it ...1500 a month and paid off in 24 months in full .
.dont bother PMing about it tho cause the last person I referred here lasted Bout 8 months and wined and complained the whole time until he gave the truck back .BoostedTeg, Eldiablo, blairandgretchen and 4 others Thank this. -
The Paccar backed trucks were seeing low resale values when I was truck shopping. Arrow had a whole fleet of them low miles for 10 to 20 grand less than Volvo or Freightliners , hopefully you got a gem .
