I always find it an interesting way to describe such a crash ... "a driver lost control".
No driver lost control. Somebody was distracted or asleep and allowed the vehicle to go off the roadway or into the back of a slower vehicle. No "lost control" about it. "Lost control" is when a blowout occurs or a road hazard breaks a steering linkage or a flash-bang is detonated in the cab, or the dog attacks the driver viscously, or the wind blows you over. Then you can claim "lost control". Otherwise, the more accurate description is "the driver gave up control of the vehicle and collided with another vehicle, or other object/person"Last edited: Oct 28, 2018

Lol, 100% agree. Love the flashbang in the cab scenario!

I see this just about every week on the 10 on my way to LA or on my way back home.
Wednesday morning on my way to LA, there was a single truck accident in the median at the 38 mile marker on the Arizona side.
Big truck in the median all by himself roll over.
Same scenario, early in the morning, the guy probably fell asleep and hit the truck on the side of the road.
For the life of me I don’t know why these morons have to park on the side of the road. -
He didn't even have the girl seatbelted in?..wow. what an idiot...the one who crashed into is totally at fault

Yup to have your child go through the window. Yet it may have saved her life. Where it was the vehicle she was riding in that caught fire. Just hope she has a momma to take care of her now that her daddy is toast.

I run south of I can and stay off the 10 as much as possible between Phoenix and Ontario. It seems it has become a disaster area the last couple of years. 4 and 5 hour back ups have become a regular thing it seems. Sorry for the loss of life.
