Well I just spent $425.99 on a new regulator for my electric passenger window and it still goes up so slow it is scary. I just don't want it to quit some night its -20 out. My truck is a 2007 Peterbilt 379. Both switches for the passenger window have the same slow result. Of coarse Peterbilt tecs told me it is always the regulator (motor and track assembly), but its not. Do any of you guys have any other pointers. Is there a relay that can get weak, but still be working slowly?

I'd check and see what your available voltage is at the motor. If you've got some poor connections in the circuit you'll have less power flow in the circuit. I'd also check that the window isn't binding up in the track.

Make sure the cable that runs it up an down is lunes well. Alignment is very important. Watch it when it goes up and down. If it wobbles, it needs to be tightened up. Make sure that the glass is traveling inside the guides in the door panel. If it is not lined up, it will move very slow. I had a similar situation with my passenger side window.

Ok. Thanks for all the ideas. Looks like i will be taking the door apart again. Fun. Should that voltage be normal 12-14.

Yes, 12 volts. I've had mine apart several times. You can get fairly efficient at it after a while.
SAR Thanks this. -
There is a silicone lube for the weatherstripping that helps a bunch also with moving the glass through the weatherstripping
SAR Thanks this.
