I have this theory that the semi was traveling like 15MPH up the grade in 6th gear, when some people drove into them. Let me know if I"m right. I didn't read the article. Just lightly skimmed thru it haha..

The 4-wheeler was going just a tad to fast.
"Witnesses initially reported the SUV was speeding at more than 100 mph before it slammed into the back of the big rig, CHP logs show."rabbiporkchop, mjd4277 and lovesthedrive Thank this. -
Mother of god, just watched that video. You can clearly see the nose of that SUV directly under the back of that trailer. I think my suspicion was correct. That driver was a total idiot for driving like that, over 100MPH according to the news report. As far as the passengers, that's horrific that they had to go out like this. To the truck driver, I'm sure you'll be taking your drug test and you'll be back out there after your 10 hours off duty... day in the life.

At least it wasnt the truckers fault. Probably partiers having a good time (or at least lets hope that is what it was)
-
No sympathy here for the suv driver. These a-holes use the shoulder, gore point and any other open are just to get in front of one more car or truck.
Always putting other people at risk for their stupid antics. -
After the fire is out they will probably cite the trucker for not having reflective tape on the rear of the trailer.rabbiporkchop, Badmon, stwik and 2 others Thank this.

Not just a citation but also be sued into bankruptcy.Badmon and stillwurkin Thank this.
