Yeah, know what is expected of you and know what to expect from them. In orentation they will tell you what you should get paid for like breakdown pay, layover pay, detention, TONU, repairs/service you preform on the truck. Running a short local run should pay more than just milage. Watch you paycheck every week for discrepencys! It will happen, but it's only a phone call or message to straighten it out.

Honestly depends on how much time you take off. If you work 52 weeks you can probably take home 70K before taxes. If you are leasing. I'm not sure how much company drivers make

Good luck to you. The only thing I find difficult about this is being lonely. On the road you're by yourself unless you are teaming. I thought no problem at first but it really gets to you sometimes.Rattlayitdown Thanks this.
