Money Talk, Bad credit & being on the road

Most old people forget that when they were young they went in debt and now they expect everyone to be debt free.

And is it really that awful for someone to finance a new refrigerator?

 

you assume I am old.... na, just wise. money smart does not mean old. many have retired at age 30 to 35

 

financing a new frig in the begining is not that bad at the start. START. we have to do what we have to, but there is no reason to spread a rumor that credit is required to aquire anything in life. I cant think of one business on this planet that will turn you down for paying cash.

 

You're being an idiot.

It is not possible for most folks to save enough fast enough to buy a house with cash. It just doesn't work like that for most people. Now as you grow up and you get to doing your drinking and screwing at some place that costs you $0 (parents) if that suits you then fine. Not most people.
Finance something small build good credit then when it comes time to pay for big ticket item (house, new car) pay maybe 4% instead of 7%. The money saved in lower % on the big ticket item will dwarf the interest spent on the fridge you financed when you were young.

But you just go ahead and keep thinking cash for absolutely everything including the largest expense for most people being a house is somehow possible for the masses.

what business on this planet will turn you down for paying cash. name one. I will call them to verify. and yes, cash can be by debit card.

 

No, not really. What is awful is that they are so bad with their money they can't even pay for a lousy refrigerator when they need one.

 

I am still waiting to know how long it took you to save enough money to pay cash for your house. We're you 35 years old? 40? Have you accomplished it yet? Or are you paying rent? Or maybe living in your company provided freightliner and calling it home? Still at mom and dad's? I ask again: how do you expect the common man to save enough to purchase a house in cash? If you have some secret I would love to learn something from you. Please educate me.

How a business accepts payment is irrelevant. We are talking about personal finance. If you have the cash, great. Most folks don't.
