I had one mistake I made, not for trying or on purpose. I was told to take a load of cement to a particular road and the job site will be on the left. The cement I had in my ready mix was curbing strength. Not that great. (I learned later) 5 people stressed the need to be at the job on the left.

So help me I pulled in at a church pouring a new foundation for a corner of the steeple. Big enough to hold 400 souls. Poured it too. I get back to the office and ran into questions, answered each one. Bossman sat there and said. OMFG. We need to call so and so, engineer this and specialist that, district manger something else etc.

    Why?

There were TWO jobs on the left of that stupid road that day.

To this day I pass that church and eyeball that bricking, they sag a certain way until they replaced the foundation with proper concrete strength. This would be 20 years ago roughly.

I did not get fired for that because several supervisors took pains to be sure I am on the first job site to the left on that stupid road. But no one figured on the TWO that is there that day until after the pour was done.

Ever since then, I have taken great pains to ask questions similar to Are you SURE?

    They better be.

That is really funny and does happen.

I've done several rotates with dumpsters middle of no where or out of normal operations. Rotate the first dumpster i see and don't confirm the address

CRAP!!!!! Screw it the dumpster was full anyway HAHAHA!

Life goes on. Lesson in life, OWN YOUR MISTAKE.

End of day, Ask. So how many roll off dumpsters are on that road in BFE ?! WHEN THE HECK DID THAT HAPPEN ? Next time send the normal driver ! :)

I refused a random about 10 years ago. I decided I like smoking pot more than driving concrete trucks for about 2 years then I decided I'm tired of being a roadieso I quit smoking weed and been driving ever since. Going through the DOT SAP joke for weed is one very expensive long process but now I'm looking going to OTR 8 years drug free and recruiters seem to love my clean criminal and driving records no one has brought up the refused drug test yet.

On day in clay center ks I'd had enough and told the witch chewing my ### to go pound sand up her postierier as I slammed the trailer doors and drove that mo fo back to Omaha and immediately fired .
