Hey guys noticed my air dryer leaking was perfect the other day. I removed the three bolts and still wouldn't come off. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks. What's the bolt in the middle for? It's a Bendix are there different purge valves can't find a part number.

Another pic.

that's the purge valve you took a picture of not the governor.
-
Sorry I meant the purge valve is leaking.
-
It purges normal at 120 psi and bleeds down to 90 psi and starts all over.Air is coming out of the purge valve until it hits 90 then stops and builds up to 120 and does it all over again. It never did that before sooo I'm thinking the purge valve is sticking open a little.???

I've seen a gummed up governor cause the purge valve to stick. Have also seen the purge valve itself get sticky and jam.

Leaking unloader valve in the compressor will cause this also. What engine?, What compressor?

Those three bolts are all you need to remove to get the purge valve out. Drain the air tanks before you do anything. You might want to take the drier apart and clean inside since any goop that may have clogged you purge valve had to come from inside the drier. You'll be cleaning the valve and replacing some o-rings if you buy the rebuild kit. But if you don't clean inside the drier it'll probably just clog up again.
That bolt in the middle is part of the purge valve that doesn't come apart.
Also, when is the last time you changed the desiccant canister? Might as well do it all. -
Air dryer is cheap. Replace the whole unit
