Evertruckerr, have you ever considered your own blog? You are the best thing going on this site and I would bet that there are quite a few people who only ready your adventures.

I know Blogger seems to have a pretty easy set-up and some very popular blogs started that way. I don't know how they do it, but there are just news blogs pulling in thousands of dollars (I guess through ads).

I think your site would become very popular in trucking circles. Anyways, just an idea that I'm sure you've already considered.

It should pick up a little in the next few weeks although it won't be consistently good for awhile. I was on a pretty good roll until I got stuck on a load from Lacombe, LA to San Marcos, TX (581 miles) at around 0600 Wednesday that couldn't pick until 1500 and couldn't deliver until last night at 1930. I grabbed it hoping for the best and went straight on in to San Marcos, arrived at 0115 yesterday morning, made a parking space and tried to get it rescheduled for an earlier unload. No go, so I sat all day yesterday waiting to take it in ... Then I got detained on the unload and I'm still sitting here with "no freight." At least this T/S has good Mexican food ...

Seems like all we can do right now is to just get our loads off as soon as possible and hope to get lucky every once in awhile.

As it stands, I will have had a 8,737 mile February if they don't get me moving again by tomorrow.

As far as that goes, none of us can really predict how or when it will turn for the better. All one can do is hope and remain calm and not take anything to seriously. I think we all can agree that it has to get better, its just a matter of when. :yes2557: like my last signature line says, life is sad, life is a bust, all we can do is do what we must, do what we must do and do it well.

I don't understand why you limit yourself to only companies that pay by the mile? And short miles at that.

I only did 1206 miles this week. 58 hours of total on duty time. Yet I grossed $1581.38 for the week.

Instead of "seeing and end to all of this", look for a begining.

    Drive safe

I have a friend who drives for a company that does construction work. He hauls an end-dump. He loads at San Francisco Int'l Airport and dumps by Candlestick Park (4 miles). He is paid $70 per dump and dumps approx. 10 loads per day, making $700/$4,900 per week gross. Were he here to respond to your post, he might say, "I don't understand why you limit yourself to companies that pay $1,500 a week." I think your "understander" is broke, or you have an incredibly narrow perception of the trucking industry as a whole.:biggrin_25526:
