    I'm embarrassed to say i worked at KARR for almost 3mths.. everything previous drivers have listed is true..The owner and his son "Eric", the dispatch superv,Bob,all them are racist liars..there main loads come from their TAYLOR FARMS contract which you'll get a load between 7pm-1am to deliver in the morning,if you have multiple stops YOU WON'T BE PAID FOR ADDITIONAL STOPS COMPLETED,OR BACKHAULS YOU PICK UP AND DELIVER,
    THATS how they rip off the DRIVERS.
    They hire dispatchers that have no idea of trucks.questions you ask they ask another driver????I got fired BC TALOR FARMS MESSED UP AND FORGOT TO PUT A PALLET ON MY TRUCK,SOME DUDE MAMED SHANON FROM TAYLOR WANTED ME TO MEET ANOTHER DRIVER AND UNLOAD PALLET TO MY TRUCK,WHICH YOU DON'T GET PAID TO UNLOAD REFUSED PALLETS OR ANY EXTRA WORK..I TOLD THIS GUY IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE IT WOULD DELAY MY APPOINTMENT TIMES..HE CALLED THE COMP SAID I CUSSED AT HIM..
    AFTER COMPLETING LOADS I WAS CALLED TO OFFICE TREATED LIKE A CROOP AND I HAD TO PAY MY WAY HOME AND WAIT MORE 15HRS FOR RIDE HOME.THIS IS CURRENTLY MAKING ITS WAY THREW COURT PROCESS,I ASK ALL DRIVERS TO REPORT THIS PLACE TO BBB ETC in order to get THE ATTENTION OF THE APPROPRIATE PEOPLE.
    These people have no honer,pride the owners son was in the military has a handicap tag but is physically fine.
    That tells you he takes advantage of the perks these so-called military personnel use..Any Grown man that lies to another MAN CAN THEY REALLY BE CALLED MAN!THEY HAVE A CAMERA IN YOUR FACE IN ORDER TO MAKE THE DRIVER LIABLE IN EVENT OF INCIDENT.EQUIPMENT IS NOT PROPERLY
    MAINTAIN,DRIVERS EXCEPT UNSAFE LOADS LIKE BRICKS IN REEFER TRAILER "NO STRAPS"..WITH TRAILER TIRES READY TO EXPLODE.
    AS A DRIVER IF SOMETHING HAPPEN YOURE ON THE HOOK.READ ON YOU WILL SEE FOR YOUR SELF,LIKE KARR DRIVER INVOLVED IN SHOOTING WITH COPS IN TRACTOR..DO THE RIGHT THING AS A DRIVER .

    Missing freight is OSD problem. Your eally should count pallets or freight to match bills.

    No one from shipper or reciever gets to tell you what to do like your dispatcher will. If they want to give specific orders etc, THEY go through YOUR dispatcher who then TELLS you or not to do something. Otherwise it's not your problem.

    As far as driver choosing to shoot at police, that's on him. He can absolutely be killed for it. Why does that bother you so much.

    You never talk on phone where possible. You send messages with satellite only, and take photos of same with date and time documentation in case something like accusations of bad language comes up.

    If you think someone is abusing State or Federal Benefits such as a handicap tag you generally have what they call a whistle blower number to tip line yourself. They can investigate it really good. I actually have access to a handicap tag in one vehicle which is strictly for that vehicle and strictly for a verified medical situation that limits my mobility until surgery. Otherwise it's illegal to have one if not handicapped in some way.

    Bricks in reefer trailer introduces not only failure to securement for weight but also the frame and floor of a reefer trailer is absolutely the WRONG equipment to use for that kind of hauling. For reasons too weighty and technical to get into here. You already know a flatbed is appropriate for that kind of load. If you were able to limit each cube of brick to one ton and had 24 of them spread carefully through the entire floor front to back as well as banded with steel bands to the point at which no individual brick can escape (And probably shrink wrapped) and airbags placed in between the brick cubes (Bags are cheap and makes a load very safe when used right)

    As far as equiptment YOU are the agent of your company, RESPONSIBLE for detecting through pre-post and in the old days checking every 100 miles your tires and other things for hot spots for defective equiptment. When you do find something broken, you make a Driver Vehicle Inspection Report of that defect, log same in the logbook and then go find a shop capable of fixing that defect and signing off your Inspection report as defect fixed with a copy of the repair order also paid for and signed to show that yes you got that defect fixed.

    Its ON YOU to fix a busted truck by way of this method. The company owns the truck and yes they have to pay for the part, labor and so on. And reschedule a appt time if necessary.

    Do you see where I am going with this? Some of it you can do and absolutely take care of as a employeee. Other problems with other things is on them. What do you care? And youre making sure that from now on you follow YOUR dispatcher's orders. NOT the shipper or Reciever.

    (How did they ever get to tell you what to do in the first place? When a shipper or receiver tries to do that to you, YOU contact the dispatcher and say Hey boss we have a problem your shipper or receiver is trying to co-opt your job by telling me what to do with our truck and frieight. Im pretty sure 99% of all dispatchers in the USA will ASSERT themselves against the shipper and receiver very quickly. That is why I say your Dispatcher is YOUR Commander who TELLS YOU what to do. ANYONE else wanna play boss man? Reject it. And REFER that one TO your Dispatcher or hand him a local (Not free 800 number) phone number to your company. They want a driver and truck to do something? They have to order it through the company so everyone will get paid for it. (That's YOU.)

    Once that trailer is loaded, locked and seal number put on the door ring. That's it until Customer with very few as in extremely few legal exceptions.

    I am not your opponet. But if you give everything a careful thought professionally you will discover that you deal with strictly the problems of business between YOU. Your. Boss. and that's it. Anything else like smiling at the customer or shipper and saying cheerfully good morning. (Yea ####### migraine... POS coffee etc etc etc) is a form of circus. You make them feel happy.

    But you do not do as simon says until YOUR boss says it's ok to do as Simon says.
