Born and raised in Brampton. Well Bramalea actually. If you lived there long enough you would know the difference. I was there before it became a East Indian Cultural hotspot.

We should change the name of this website to White and Fourth Generation Citizens Only Trucker Forum.

If people have found a way to make a living and do things at a lower cost than you, maybe we should try to learn what they are doing. Instead of honing in on their race and belittling them.

If that's truly the case, then you have no need to whine and be a bigot.

Finaly someone is talking sence. Revenue per mile is the key. Do not get sold on more miles cheaper rate. We run California on regular basis. Yes the return rate is better some month then others. However need to look at your FSC. Do not be shy to show your operating costs to your business partners ( company, broker ). Sometimes people need to be reeducated. Remember if the truck cant make money then their is a break down in supply chain. Know your real costs of running to stay competitive but don't run for nothing. You're not only hurting your self.

Ok the truth is that Paki business are lowering the rates. It is also the truth that most of them will not pay "normal" wages - normal as around 0.55$ per mile for long haul - to the drivers or that they truck are old and/or not in the best condition. But let’s be honest they are winning and they will win in Canadian market for 100%. In the US market I hope they will come with the truck age rules for Canadian and Mexican carriers just so we can get rid of the businesses that destroy our reputation and lower rates because of their equipment and employee wages.

Now let’s not forget that we are all in this fight for the cents per mile only because of the brokers and us. And I’m not trying to say all brokers or carriers are stupid or evil, it’s just they are too afraid to say no to the shippers and that we are too afraid to say no to brokers and just to stop for a day or two. Think about it, if we stop for a day or two, it will show who is doing the real work in this industry. But the problem is that instead of getting to work together we are all in the place that works best for shippers, we fight against each other. And it leaves big with big money on the side of shipper and receiver that do nothing mostly and it leaves us carriers with cents per mile income and even sometimes brokers with $50 on the load.

So don’t get me wrong but we started already "filtering" customers and brokers, we are working only with those that provide us loads that are reliable and at the rate that is satisfying for all sides, they are still lower form what they should be but considering the condition of the market they are quite good. All of those on the black list we don’t even take their offers or consider placing one to them. I hope there will be more and more brokers looking for quality shippers and that they will start saying no to the ####ers that think driving and trucking is so easy and I hope that carriers will start saying no to the brokers that are offering less then slice of bread and glass of water per day of our hard work.

So people get together and start fighting back shippers and receivers, or we will all end as slaves of this industry, doesn’t matter white, black or paki. We are all in the same #### on the same side.
